The Outdoor Girls At The Hostess House is a novel by Laura Lee Hope. The story revolves around four best friends - Betty, Mollie, Amy, and Grace, who are also known as the Outdoor Girls. The girls decide to do their bit for the soldiers during World War I by volunteering at a Hostess House near a military training camp. Once there, they meet and befriend several soldiers, including the charming Captain Dale, who takes a liking to Betty. They are also introduced to a stern and unfriendly woman named Mrs. Sanderson, who is in charge of the Hostess House. The girls are determined to make the soldiers' stay as comfortable as possible, but their efforts are thwarted by Mrs. Sanderson's strict rules. As the story progresses, the girls encounter several challenges, including a suspicious fire, a lost letter, and a missing soldier. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about trust, loyalty, and the importance of doing their part in the war effort. In the end, they are able to solve the mysteries and help the soldiers in their own unique way.
